Walk for Refugees
On Monday, our newly appointed Y5 Chaplains supported by our Y6 Chaplains led and assembly to speak to the children about ‘Walk for Refugees’.
On Friday 29th June, our children will take part in a Share the Journey walk. We’re walking in solidarity with refugees as part of a global campaign led by Pope Francis, Share the Journey, to stand up for the rights of refugees and migrants. We will help CAFOD to reach their target of 24,900 miles, the distance around the world.
Nursery and Reception will complete 3 laps of the school field, Year one and two 5 laps, years three and four 10 laps and years five and 6 fifteen laps. This distance will be sent to CAFOD to be added to the overall distance covered in support of refugees.
During the walk prayers and reflections will be led by the pupil chaplains.
