Today in assembly our eldest pupil washed the feet of our youngest pupil just as Jesus did at the last supper. He wanted his friends to remember that he loved them so much that he became like a servant to them. He wanted them to show love and respect for others when he was no longer there. To teach them that their job when he was gone was to serve others.
‘You call me Master and Lord, and rightly; so I am. If I, then, the Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you must wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example so that you may copy what I have done to you.’ John 13:16
