In 2015 Pope Francis invited us all to care for or common home in his encyclical letter Laudato Si’.
In response to this we have formed a group of children known as the ‘Laudato Si’ Club’ to raise awareness of caring for our common home. Our members help the rest of the school to become Stewards of the earth by encouraging recycling, gardening, and energy saving strategies amongst many other things!
So far this year we have held a Fairtrade jam on toast stall raising a fantastic £86 to be spent on CAFOD world gifts.
We also joined the diocese in promoting their #Hearthecry campaign by holding a colouring competition. The winners won a Recycling art project book!
